Guest guest Posted May 21, 2003 Report Share Posted May 21, 2003 Hi , Yes, the progesterone to bring on AF IS the same as the one to prevent a luteal phase defect and help to support an early pg. I do not know why it works that way, but it freaked me out b/c I took it one cycle to bring on AF and the very next cycle they prescribed again " just to be safe " since I had a + hpt. They warned me that the label would freak me out b/c it says do not take if pg. I have NO clue how or why it works. I took the same dose both times. I'm sorry that I am failing you for a scientific explanation. Let us know if your dr explains it better. I would love to add it to my " Cliff Claven " locker of useless knowledge.
