Guest guest
Hi Debs, I would be very interested in hearing more about your success with the Antox regime and specifically the tens unit. I started the Antox therapy at the beginning of November and had over four totally pain free weeks. My 5th ct-scan in December unexplicably set off an acute attack, yet within 4 days of the attack I was completely off the pain meds again. I remain so, so I am thoroughly convinced that the antoxidant therapy has been beneficial for me. I have tried to get others from this group to try it, to see if it was possible to see some more success in numbers, yet have not heard anymore from anyone about it. I am thoroughly convinced that it makes a tremendous difference in diminishing pain under extreme situations and eliminating daily pain, so please tell us more. How long have you been on the Antox and how soon did you notice that it was working? Is the tens unit some kind of device that measures our levels of oxidative stress, perhaps? I'm just guessing here, as it is said that oxidative stress plays a big role, according to Dr. Hayden (one of our chat room guests)......applause, applause, to Mark Armstrong for bringing this guest to speak. I would be very interested to learn more if you have the time to share it. Meanwhile, congratulations on finding a therapy which has brought you relief and enabled you to be out again in the working world with health and pain-free days. Is this a regiman of antioxidants? If so, which ones & in what amounts? I tried a TENS unit years ago but it didn't help. I don't think the people setting up the unit knew much about its use in pancreatitis; the most common usage is for back pain. A TENS unit (Transcutaneous Electrical Stimulation unit) provides mild electric shock. It uses the gateway theory of pain control, that the mild shock distracts the brain from fully recognizing the pancreatic pain. Deb from NZ, where have you had the electrodes placed on your body & at what settings? If you have success with a TENS unit, I'd sure like to try it again. Thanks in advance for your help ....... jang
