Guest guest
Boy this sounds like Cliff. He started out in August when he spent ten days in the hospital with his latest attack at 285, he is 201 today. Eighty-four pounds in four and a half months is a bit much in my opnion but his doctors (GI & Heart) think it is great since he needed to lose weight anyway...he is averaging 20lbs a month. Hopefully now that they have diagnosed the diabetes he will level off he has actually held this weight for about three weeks now...keep your fingers crossed! He is 6ft 4in tall and big boned so he looks like a skeleton to me! He had even decided to grow a beard to hide the loose skin on his neck. Poor man he wanted to lose weight but not this way! > karen and everyone - have any of you experienced being on clear liquids or iv > fluids etc; and NOT losing any weight??? it seems that i don't drop any > weight unless i am having a severe attack where i am vomiting and/or > diarrhea. i think that is peculiar unless my body is changing my metabolism > like it does when you are on a diet and regulating the food you are intaking. > it is kind of frustrating because i need to lose some more weight and i > haven't. i haven't felt like exercising lately and i know that is part of it > also. but you would think that when all you are ingesting is liquids that you > would lose some. > > debbie
Guest guest
-I have just the oppisite problem. I can not gain weight. I have always had problems gaining, and now with this it is much worse. I have been threatened with a feeding tube if i do not gain weight. How I am suppose to gain eating low fat is beyond me. I just eat all day when I feel good, and it goes no where. except out. I loose an average of three lbs with each episode and do not get it back. I just drink a strawberry boost and it worse really bad. Dumped half doem the sink. Cheryl -- In pancreatitis@y..., " missmel3315 " <burrismelissa@h...> wrote: > Boy this sounds like Cliff.
