If I start 30 min. after a meal.....well, the glucose (most of it) is not in my blood yet.....so can't use it if it is not there in the blood......everyone has a different digestion time.....type of food eaten......amount.....etc..... > > > >
Guest guest
Hard to explain.......I can feel the major rises and drops......if it just moves 20 points either way.........I don't feel it.........then again......I'm a type 2 and just use meds. as a helper.......My Endo informed me that I will eventually lose these sensations once my body becomes use to my new bs levels..... Guest guest
yup..........feel sorta strange.....when the rises and drops " kick in " my main factors........vegetarian, a1c when diagnosed.....270.....I'm in the overweight class.....1800 calories per day.....180 carbs....... I usually stick to the same type of meals and snacks day after day....same time....... my number guess is usually with 20 points of the test result...... last nite .........I ate a bowl of soup (body is a little sensitive to soup).....figure my test would be around.....111-125.......it was 114 usually I'm at 96-108 after...meal......n exercise.....no meds........130-149........I take my pill b4 lunch......I'd rather be around 130-149 after exercise than passed out in the park becuase of a med low........ Guest guest
Oh boy - I can feel mine rise...lol...I get very sensitive to everything...not quite jittery, but almost. Sounds get louder, lights get brighter, everything is extreme. Then tiredness hits me. Just SLAM! I feel like I just have to close my eyes. But that's when I haul myself up and get moving. Because if I do sit around, it doesn't get better. I just want to sleep. Good luck! I'm not new to this message board. I lurk more than I post, and learn > something new all the time. I am curious how you " felt the bs rise... " > It has been my understanding that you don't feel high blood sugars, > you just feel the low blood sugars. >
Guest guest
Hello antwan50: (Psst, signing your name on your messages would make " conversation " easier...) There surely must be some folks who can do it, but to date the results are pretty interesting, and its one of those areas we aren't even close <gentle shrug> 99.9% of the time, (I wonder if its another of those T1 vs. T? areas ????). And as most probably know, the ability of folks 15, 20 yrs. in so to speak lose symptoms all together, but good interesting work is being done in that arena, and they appear to be having good results reducing that problem... or so we're told anyway. Most meters have a " margin of error " greater than the difference that you are reporting ---- if so, there is no statistical difference between 106 and 114. Essentially, those readings are identical --- and you can't assume that your BG went up or down. , Charlotte T2 since 1998, diet & exercise
Guest guest
> > > >well.........yeah, I never stated that my bs levels went up or down.....I just gave the number results.....and I did read the paperwork The amount of exercise of exercise that I did that morning should have dropped my bs level by 30 points.....hence a result within 10 percent of 76.......it did not......plus I did not feel any low blood sugar symptoms................and I have compared my meter results to the doc's meter as well as the lab test..........registers 2 to 6 points higher ........trail n error......yawn thanks, Dee Wabbit.......aka Antwan50 > > > > > Antwan, > You may want to check the paperwork that came with your meter or > strips.
