Guest guest
First of all, thank you so much for the Birthday wishes and, I was planning to go out and, treat myself to a steak dinner but, the foot of snow we had blew that idea big time. Where my garage is, along with three other houses, there is an alley way that runs through about 600 feet or so. My garage is the closest to the street which is 50 feet. Any how, when our ultility meters were back in the alley, the city of Liberty kept the alley cleared. They moved the meters five years ago and, they refuse to touch it so, I can't get out until I find someone to plow it for me. That is what I hate about my city right now. I haven't read any mail for I am feeling pretty blue. I should be use to this by now but, as usual, I haven't heard one damn thing from either sister and, I don't expect to. This has been going on for years for my late Cris taught me a long time ago to stand up to them and, now they won't talk to me. Their bottles are more important than blood. Yes, they are both alcoholics like my late Mother. Right now, I just want to go to bed and, have myself a good old fashion cry and, I promise you all that I will be OK afterwards. When the weather clears, I will go out and, get some fresh air. One thing I am thankful for are you all!!! You are so great and, I never get tired of saying this. If it weren't for you and, your friendships, I would had fallen apart a very long time ago. I will catch up on the mail this weekend I promise Love and, Hugs Trudy
Guest guest
Hello tte and welcome, I commend your wonderful attitude and spirit in someone who is dealing with 2 illnesses now at a young age. This is a great group of people and we are here for you. I have a good friend with MS who was diagnsed in her 20s, raising her son and is doing well. This is another illness that affects everyone in different ways and extremes. Your spirit and attitude will take you a long way. I remember once reading up on " bee therapy " for MS if you are into alternative medicines, you may want to look into it (can't hurt) - and do make sure you are taking a good amount of alpha lipoic acid each day of good quality as that is very good for both of these illnesses. Sandy in PA T2 for 3 weeks Hi Everyone Hi My name is tte and I live in Western NY. I am 27 yrs old and I have had type 1 diabetes for 16 yrs. I am on an Insulin pump and I LOVE IT! I was just DX'd with MS in August and now I have to learn to balance 2 Chronic illnesses. My diabetes is under tight control right now. I hope to keep it that way as I learn day to day how the MS will effect me. I am a strong person so I am not afraid. I have good days and bad days, but nothing is going to get me down! Guest guest
Hi tte! Welcome! You caught my eye...I'm 27 as well and I live in Central NY (well...Ithaca area). I was just diagnosed T1 in May of this year. Maybe we can chat sometime. I'm always looking for personal experiences with the pump - right now I have insulin pens (Lantus and Novolog) but I've been tossing the idea of getting a pump around since the night I was dx'd. Hope you had a great weekend! -Jess > > Hi My name is tte and I live in Western NY. I am 27 yrs old and I > have had type 1 diabetes for 16 yrs. I am on an Insulin pump and I > LOVE IT!
