Hello everyone,

I have a few questions/concerns, but first, I guess, an intro is in

order.

I've been lurking around for a bit, reading all the postings. Wow!

Everyone is so knowledgeable. More so than any Dr. I've talked with.

We started ttc in 1996, discovered through a lap in '98 that I have

a UU. Finally, after 7 years of trying on and off (emotionally, I

had to take long breaks a few times), we got pregnant in May of this

year. I m/c at 5 weeks so the excitement turned into devastation

pretty quickly.

Anyway, I am now pregnant again. Since I've repeatedly been told by

doctors things such as " you can always adopt " and " you will probably

have to go through many m/c before you even have a chance of

carrying long enough " , I'm just not able to get excited about this

pregnancy. I'm scared to death, although, I would like nothing more

than to be able to give my husband a child.

I got the nerve to go to our GP yesterday morning because I've been

having odd cramping. (I had cramping with the m/c, but also sudden

bleeding). They are doing an ultrasound this afternoon to make sure

the pregnancy isn't ectopic--I only have 1 tube obviously!

My concern is with this cramping. I asked our GP and he said

cramping is NEVER normal in early pregnancy and it's probably an

indication I'm going to lose this one also. My question is...have

any of you had cramping and then gone onto deliver a " little

miracle " ? After all these years and negativity from doctors

(including the peri. I was sent to), I'm really beginning to feel

there is little hope with a UU.

Sorry about the length of my post! Any comments would be much

appreciated. Negative and positive--I just want to hear about

other's experiences.

Thanks so much,
