Hello again! I'm still here!

Hi all,

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back here. I just want to

update you all. First of all, thanks for all of your prayers and

thoughts while I was in Europe. It went well, and I am so thankful

that we made the decision to go. We left Michigan with seven,

count 'em, boxes of medical supplies, and NOT ONCE did anyone hassle

me. No customs problems, nothing. It was amazing! The trip went

like clockwork and I even managed to eat some. The best part of my

trip was that I went to visit a penpal that I had never met before!

It was awesome. Everyone thought I was crazy, but hey, the whole

trip was one big adventure, so what was one more?

When I got back, I ended up in the hospital with a staph infection.

I went to ER three times with a fever of 103-104 before they finally

kept me, and that because my tpn management called the hospital and

told them in no uncertain terms that I was NOT to go home. Needless

to say, they reacted a bit better after that. They ran a bunch of

tests and put on a heart monitor and in the midst of all of this,

they found a thymus tumor.

Apparently this thing is so rare that most docs see one or two of

them in their ENTIRE lifetimes. I have a couple of appointments set

up to see about it, but it will be difficult at best.

I hope this finds most of you stable and at home at least! :-) It's

not that I have not thought of you, it's just that I am a bit

overwhelmed at this point in my life. If I can't see my way clear to

get back here, I will keep up with Tull or who can keep you

updated. Thanks again for all of you! You are an amazing group!
