staying with your child

SOMETIMES if you work with them ahead of time and demonstrate that you are a

calm mama they will let you stay in the preop room until she is asleep and

come into recovery to help with communication. I've had to promise to stay

cool and that they could ask me to leave if I didn't. I assure them that

they won't have TWO patients= a child and a nervous mama.

we are going. They told us basically they would take her back and we

wouldn't see her again until she was in a room. I didn't like that at
