Guest guest
I'm wondering if it's too soon for me to be eating nuts. Can I snack on them whole or does it have to be in flour form. I'm looking for high calorie foods that are SCD legal. I'm about 10 lbs underweight and always run off my feet. I'm afraid if I don't put some weight on and start feeling better, I'm going to end up in the hospital. SCD 3wks, 4yrs ASD, 2 yrs typical. Guest guest
Yes, it's too soon to be eating whole nuts just three weeks into the diet. Why don't you try making the peanut butter brownies, cashew muffins or the apple cake recipe I posted about a week ago. All of those are very tasty and very calorie dense. You can freeze them and just take them out in the morning and eat them during the day. I figured the calories on the cashew muffins and they were about 100-150 calories each (I'll have to check for the exact number). Also, avocados have about 300 calories each. Very nutritious and calorie dense. If you don't like them plain, try making the avocado chicken salad, avocado meatloaf or guacamole. Guest guest
Thank You Jody, I'll give those recipees a try. Sorry to be so dense right now. With everything in transition right now and learning so many new things it's a little tricky keeping everything straight. Gratefully, wk 3 SCD, 4yrs ASD, 2yrs typical PS You asked about what supplements I was giving my son. I haven't forgotten, I just haven't had the chance. I'll try to forward the list tonight. > Yes, it's too soon to be eating whole nuts just three weeks into > the diet. > > Why don't you try making the peanut butter brownies, cashew > muffins or the apple cake recipe I posted about a week ago.
