LL's Magnetic Clay --- new chelation method?

I have been trying it on my son, who is extremely reactive to tons of

supplements. I've been afraid to try DMSA or DMPS on him as his liver functions

poorly, and he did very poorly on ALA. I have seen no bad side effects; neither

have I seen improvements. At least it's cheap enough, and I don't feel it hurts

to keep on using what I have purchased, just in case it helps a little bit.

Dear listmates,

I found a write-up in the internet talks about using clay bath to

detox. It's called LL' Magnetic Clay. The author claims it's

better than DMSA and there's no side affect. I'm wondering if

anyone knows or hears about it? Any input will be helpful.

Thanks,

Can't comment on the claim that it's better than DMSA (though I doubt

it) but when someone claims that there are no side effects, I would

suggest locating the nearest exit and running away as quickly as

possible. The " no side-effect " claim is the one where I would become

extremely suspicious. Save your money and try things that have a proven

track record.

I've heard the clay can clog up your pipes.

Can you clarify how the " clay can clog up your pipes " ? When I read

the write-up, the first thing pops in my mind is " too good to be

true " ! But I still want to find out more information on it.

I'm not , but have bought the clay. The company also sells drain traps,

suggests covering the traps with duct tape, scooping out what water you can,

and then using a formula which dissolves the clay on the remaining water. For

my son, I just use foot baths, then pour the used water into large plastic jugs

to dispose of it, so it never hits our drains.

This was just someone's comment I remember. That it could be

problematic having the clay go down your drain.

Is LL's Magnetic clay similar to " Pascalite clay " ?

I am not going to say the LL's Clay works or doesn't work. I don't know. I am

trying it on my son, but to avoid the possible problem of pipe clogging, he

does only foot baths in it. Also, if it is used in tubs, LL's recommends using

hair clog drains, covering this with duct tape, and also using a substance

they sell which dissolves the clay before opening the drain. I haven't tried

this

method, so can't verify if it works or not.

I'm not Jen, but I have used clay a lot of times in baths (and

other ways as well). I have written about it on lists many times,

and don't have anything terribly impressive to say. I like clay

baths, and take them from time to time. I think clay is good

for lots of things. I seriously doubt that it will detox mercury

from any place in your body that it is not in direct contact with

(and I'm not sure even with direct contact). I've used bentonite

(that is a type of clay). It is generally drawing and detoxifying.

I'm not sure about the pipe-clogging thing. My pipes run a bit

slow, but I don't know if that is from clay...

good wishes,

Moria
