Guest guest
" no tears from me with the likelyhood that you will ignore this about bone marrow fat and it will never grace your kitchen though it does mine and lawn and feral cats though i don't like them to get it " I have been giving your suggestion thought. Thinking it over, I was wondering where one could possibly buy/get bone marrow in Europe. Would one have to locate a small abattoir/slaughterhouse and ask the owner? An old fashioned butcher? Guest guest
> don't you have butchers? where do people get thier bones for dogs > from? A lot of dogs that I know have never tasted a bone... only the rubbery pork substitute one can buy at the grocery store!!! , what about brains? Would it be about the same as bone marrow? Butcher shops in Spain do sell brains, but not bone marrow. Anything to fear about bone marrow from mad cow disease? Guest guest
the tissue that is susceptible to prion deformation (mad cow) is nerves and part of the intestine so its the brain, spinal cord and i think a portion of the upper intestine that carry it....... also the body has defense machanisms against prions, they do occur spontaneously very rarely but high manganese and low copper and magnesium and organo pesticides make for much greater susceptibility i dont know about brains in spain, i would be very cautious. its a little difficult to give an opinion because australia and new zelaand never having permitted stock being fed animal products have never had an issue with it and don't have scrapie either i don't see bone marrow is any more risky than meat spain has lost the good sun now. > > don't you have butchers? where do people get thier bones for dogs > > from? > > A lot of dogs that I know have never tasted a bone... only the > rubbery pork substitute one can buy at the grocery store!!! > > , what about brains?
