one of mine looks like that, but not the other. I am

sure that Kathy's plant is a bromeliad. I almost want

to say its a tillisandria or something like

that....tank plant.

I think they get pretty they older they get when they wtart to have babies. Some of them are Burgendy foliage.

We have them around the condo in various gardens and they are quite beautiful when they grow their newser foliage.

Ugly plant

This is the butt-ugly plant Ronnie's work sent me during my last surgery. Can anyone tell me what it is and how to care for it? All they said when they delivered it (like I remember anything else that day!) was water it at the leaves and fill the "cups" in the leaves with water. A friend of mine said it's a bromeliad (she pronounces is bromelaid... brom-a-laid not bro-mill-ee-ad) btu I looked those up and it doesn't look the same and it says those are air plants. This one is planted in soil and it's huge.

Do I need to transplant it? Can I plant it in the ground outside? How big does it get? It already looks too big for the container.

My brothers and sons have threathened to come take my computers away from me with they don't find out that I am on it too many hours a day/week or am in the sun too much. They don't have to worrry. I don't have to have it taken away because I am absolutely too totally done in fatigue wise to ever do that. My days of being Superwoman are long gone.....

Don't nuke it out, they are not all that easy to kill.I've forgotten to water mine for as long as a monthbefore & I have also watered it every day for awhilecuz I kept forgetting i just watered it. And I onlyfertilize it when I remember which has been like oncethis year? They are pretty hardy. I think too much sunmight be the only no no.Dawn--- Kathy wrote:> Yes!
