Guest guest
--hi patti, can you tell me how to pull them up? i am not very good with the computer. yes we are working again with a celiac and gi guy in new york. we have been to maryland institute for celaic and boston childrens gi specialist. they never took what is said seriously just told me there was still gluten contamination. now that the three year got acidotic twice that i know of for sure on this diet they are listening. as i said before they have been free of fruit and sugars and the high sugar veggies and starches for three years . so i think i have controlled the situation for the most part. i think what happened is one of two things...the scd diet kicked up a metaboloic disorder or not being able to use the diary, nuts, egg to bake and balance out protien and yeast caused overgrowth from the fruit and lentils and squashes. the doc is familar with scd and is supportive of the diet for the right patient. he is not sure it is a fit for them. he was glad eliza had gained weught initially, when in intro they were mostly eating protein and veggies. but he and the nutritionist were concerned at how the girls now. distended stomachs, huge bags under eyes puffy faces. thankks for your support. lisa - In pecanbread , " Patti " <durovchic@c...> wrote: > , > I'm not sure how to advise you. It does seem like you have a difficult problem on your hands and I think you might need some specialized help..... we're all kinda stumped so that may be why you didn't get an immediate response. I know there are families who've successfully done no dairy, eggs or nuts. There's one mom in particular that I'm thinking of...... but she's not on this list anymore. Would you want me to dig up some posts from her? > > Patti, mom to Katera > anyone diary free, egg free, nut free and well on this diet?? > > > i posted this question once before and got no direct response. i can > not continue on this diet for my two young children unless someone > can tell me they are able to make this work. they are also have low > blood sugar so the fruit is not working blood sugar wise. the docs > now think they have some kind of metabolic disorder because they are > not able to process the fruit and sugar like carbs and never have > been to in three years. once again they are surviving on tons of > veggies and meat protien. now i can't stop the pasty poops and > diareaha. > > lisa mother of eliza 5 and half celiac, scd 6 months jesse 3 and half > scd corn free, soy free, diary free, sugar free, gluten free > > > > For information on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, please read the book _Breaking the Vicious Cycle_ by Elaine Gottschall and read the following websites: > http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info > and > http://www.pecanbread.com > > > >
