I liked this explanation...thank you. And you know what came to mind was

that person who wrote about their son getting worse on milk thistle because

it sped up phase 1.

I think there are other things that speed it up, too, some of which we give

our kids regularly, and some thing swhich slow it down, grapefruit for

example. I don't use GSE often but there are those who rely on it for

yeast. Just something to think about when we are talking about die-off

versus other reactions. Quite often we have children reacting badly to a

supplement and we think it's die-off. But it might be the way it

influences Phase 1 or Phase II. I don't usually believe it when people say

" die off " . I'm not saying it doesn't exist -- it does! -- but that it isn't

always the answer and we can put our kids through a lot of hell if we always

think it's die off.

Certainly the phase 1/2 may be where theTTFD problems arise (when they do

come and I'm saying there are always problems!). B-1 ITSELF is good for the

liver as a whole but maybe allithiamine is having an influence on the Phase 1

v. Phase 2 and therefore is giving some kids some problems. Is this making

any sense? it's the mercapton that influence the " chelation " process, says Ty

at Coastal. that's a little different than just talking about B-1.

just for consideration.

Me and my son use GSE and we never had any kind of bad reactions or die-off or

anything

else. We both have a fast phase I, so GSE helps a lot there, but every time I

used it, it

actually made my son very calm (unusually) and made me feel just great.

Recently, I had a sinus infection and of course, I used GSE. No die-off,

nothing. Just a

good feeling of getting healthy :)

I use GSE for my sinus infections. I put about 5 drops in about an

inch of water, stir it up [otherwise the GSE sinks to the bottom and

sticks there], then drink. Works wonderfully for me.

Yes, I take 5 drops in about half a cup of juice, on an empty stomach, every

4 hours. I started with this dose. The second day I took this every 5 hours

and now (the third day) every 6 hours.

I don't know how much time I will keep taking this, but it's amazing what's

happening. I blow my nose and very disgusting stuff comes out.

I started to feel better with the first dose.
