Guest guest
Shirls--the hospital will take payments. Heck they are usually happy just to get any money. When does your part B take effect? If it is soon and you just didn't get the card yet it may cover it. Also be sure to talk to the social service dept at the hospital because sometimes they will even reduce the price you have to pay out of pocket. I'm glad you are going to get the MRI. It really doesn't take much heat to cause these episodes, so you need to be very careful....and in all of the MS patients I've had over the years any setback took days or weeks to recover from. Heck, when I'm in too much heat I get episodes and it takes me a day or too to recover and I don't have MS. Once your part B kicks in you should look into one of those recliners with the lift in it. We had Denny's Granny's when he had his hip replaced and it was a God send. Medical supply houses will work with Medicare on them and it shouldn't cost you anything. Same with electric wheelchairs, etc. Those would really help with your energy conservation....which I'm hoping someone talked to you about and maybe even an OT helped with? It's so important in MS. I'm not surprised that you would have more episodes at this time of year...the heat and humidity are killers. We'll most likely be watching the 400 also...well Denny will, I'll be in the bedroom watching HGTV most of the time, LOL Like most other sporting events I enjoy being there but don't enjoy watching on TV. Kathy another episode Yes, I'm recuperating from another episode of whatever is going on. It started Sunday. Went to the MIL's for dinner. I felt a bit weird but could walk on my own. By the time we sat down to dinner I could feel my legs getting weak. By the time we left I had vertigo and weakness. I could barely make it out of the house on my own. I think it was too hot in there. I didn't feel too hot. Kathy didn't have her AC on. Steve got my cooling vest but it was too late. So much for the heat symptoms only lasting a couple of hours. On Tues and Wed I could barely sit up on my own from a laying position. I was hoping I didn't have to go to the bathroom before Steve got home. But, Fred needed outside of course. (Fred is our female dog) I let her out, went to the bathroom and crashed on the couch again. I let the back door stay open. I stay on the couch in the LR when I'm having trouble. It's close to the kitchen, the hall bathroom and the back door. I'm getting a brain MRI on Monday. Insurance is $500 deductible then 80/20. So we'll have a large bill from it. We were holding off on the MRI until Medicare part B came in to effect but we have to see if the MS is progressing or what. I had an episode 2 weeks before this one. That's the closest I've had them together. The hospital will take payments, I hope. So that's been my exciting week..lol Steve will be working the Brickyard 400 NASCAR race on the fire engine on Sunday. On Saturday he has to get the engine ready to go. At least I can watch the 400 live so I'll have something to do this weekend. I have a lot of catching up to do on reading the groups going ons. So that will keep me occupied...lol x0x0x0 ShirleyPlease visit our website at:http://ACES_Autoimmune.tripod.com

I'm sure that nice things do happen to nice people and you deserve "nice things". (((Hugs))) RobynShirley wrote: Yes, I'm recuperating from another episode of whatever is going on. It started Sunday.
