Guest guest
I would hazard to say that many people are obese BECAUSE of their body's overproduction of insulin, which leads to overstorage of fat. I did not eat myself fat. My pancreas did it all for me, even while I was eating next to nothing and exercising 3 times a day! The media and medical profession tells TYPE 2 diabetics that it is their fault they have the disease and classify it is some disease of gluttony. It is not. I have seen skinny gluttons without diabetes. My ex-boyfriend could down a 1 lb bag of M & Ms in minutes and eat junk all day without exercise, but maintained a weight of 160 lbs. All of us need to change our thinking about how we became diabetic. If it was all about food and weight, when the food is taken away, diabetes and the extra weight would disappear. This is not the case. Have you heard of the Thrifty gene theory? http://www.davidsuzuki.org/about_us/Dr__Suzuki/Article_Archives/weekly06130\ 301.asp April in GA
