Guest guest
I have been reading some messages about blotches and rashes. My eldest son Jonah ( 3 ) gets big red blotches all over his face everytime he gets upset. It has happened ever since he was born and we are quite acustomed to it. When other people see it for the first time it alarms them. I once asked Jonahs peadeatrician about them and he didn't seemed at all concerned. However one day when we were there for a checkup he wittnessed them first hand and was quite shocked. He said he had never seen anything like it before, although he did not seem to think it nesecary to do anything about them. 14 mths ago my second son Eli died at 14 wks of age of what the Doctors now think is some form of Mito. They are still trying to figure out exactly. They led us to believe that if Jonah had the same thing as Eli he would not have lived this long. Reading your messages to eachother I see that Mito comes in many forms and efects different people differently. Are these red blotches common for Mito kids and should I be concerned about them? They seem to disappear as soon as he calms down so we have never really worried about them too much. Jonah also has Asthma and Fragile X Syndrome but is a very active, happy, strong and bright little boy. He does everything at an age appropriate level so far. I know these are all good signs. Can anyone tell me more about the blotches? Mum to Jonah 3, Eli forever 14wks and Jemima 10wks and doing well.
