I think the whole point of not taking it after 12pm is because it can keep you awake if you take it later than that.

She eats at 7am and then goes to school till 3. Her doctor and the bottle say nothing about dividing the dose but someone else mentioned they were told to divide by 12 hours. I did call the company that makes it (from their website number) and asked regarding food. I was told it should be given away from supplements such as calcium, iron, etc and most foods because the supplements (his wording but I assume he means minerals) would bind with the drug in the stomach and disable it. I did ask if it could be given with a little strained fruit such as peaches which I also give lauricidin pellets in and he said that should be no problem. Guest guest
About thyroids--- First of all, the thyroid makes a hormone called calcitonin that allows for absorption of calcium and if you are taking thyroid replacements (Synthroid, Armor, etc), they do NOT correct the underlying problem and calcium absorption is still impaired. This is why these people often experience bone loss (osteoporosis) as well. Instead.... correct the problem. It does not matter what the diagnosis is.... hypothyroidism is the culprit. One of the worst culprits (causes) for hypothyroidism is heat processed or solvent-extracted oils; vegetable oils or polyunsaturated oils. The worst is the soybean--which is in EVERYTHING!! Try using Organic coconut oil first (it is a natural antibiotic), then extra-virgin, cold-pressed olive oil and then canola oil. Unsaturated fats interfere with the function of the thyroid because they block the hormone secretion, its movement in the circulatory system and the repsonse of the tissues to the hormones. When the thryoid hormone is deficient, the body is generally exposed to increased levels of estrogen. This hormone makes the 'protective' hormone-- progesterone and pregnenolone. This hormone also is required for using and eliminating cholesterol so one's cholesterol can be raised by anything blocking the thyroid function. (one way to tell if you are estrogen dominant is if you have heaviness around the middle, double lines on the neck, rounded face). How can you correct this? Iodine, organic and it must have digested fats and protein to be delivered to the thyroid. Macro nutrients (proteins & fats) carry micro nutrients (minerals) and when there is a mineral problem (black lines in your finger nails), always look for digestive issues with fats and proteins (lymies--solution? enzymes) Herbs include bugleweed, evening primrose/black current seed oil and sea vegetables (kelp, irish moss, dulse). L-tyrosine (an amino acid) and B-complex are suggestions as well. Xenoestrogen or 'fake' estrogen is in everything, especially plastic~~ prednisone, hormone replacement therapy and birth control pills. They get stored in the liver and redeposited in the body; hence, fibroid tumors, cystic breasts. Detox, cleanse, nourish and rebuild. sue massie, CNHP 732 933-4011
Guest guest
I started Armour about 15-20 yrs ago. I have never been told to take thyroid med. at night. I always take it in the AM. Seems like it would affect you sleep when taken in the evenings/night About 10yrs ago I switch to synthroid med. which works better for me, I have Hashimotos thyroiditis, autoimmune disease. I have antibodies against my thryoid. It seemed like my antibodies also would block the armour because it was more natural, like my hormones. My antibodies can't/don't seem to block the synthroid and it seems to work better for me. Bearyneuro@... wrote: Hey Everyone, I just started my first dose of armour thyroid yesterday. I am on a very ,very low dose 15mgs twice a day to start off with but after I took it last night I felt " weird " just plain strange.. I am not sure if it was related to the armour or if it was just little ol lymie ME with all of my strangeness acting up again . I am just about to take another 15mgs before I turn in and am just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with Armour Thyroid that they'd like to share.
