I would offer that you can just replace the sugar in the pie recipe with

splenda or any other type of sugar sub that you like. I dont bake pies (the

guys here dont eat them) so...

An apple pie will never be " sugar free " as apples are full of sugar =) but

they will be no sugar added!

However, many (not all) diabetics find that frutcose does not make their BS go

up as much as other forms of sugar.

Very true!

I can eat raw fruits and even my home canned fruits (without sugar) without

having issues with blood sugar...

But... If I was to use the refined frutcose that one can buy in the store,

it shoots my numbers right up...

I think that the fiber in the fruit helps...
