Guest guest
Hello everyone my name is and I am new to the chat. My daughter Shelby who is 20 months old suffers from complexs 1,2,3,and 4. We are having a big problem getting her to eat and drink anything and she was in the hospital last friday for 2 days due to vomiting. Her neuro called to tell me her ammonia level is high and is not going down. I really don't understand what a high ammonia level means. Her doctor says we have to get her eating and drinking soon or we have to put a g tube in and he says this will help with the liver and ammonia problems. Maybe someone could explain to me about the ammonia levels and why the must be so bad for her. thank you
