Guest guest
Hi everyone! Just a short note to say that we are finally home with our precious daughter. Everything went well. She is so cute and is adjusting well here in Cyprus. I will write more when I have some time. In the meantime, I just wanted to let you all know that we are ok. I am so behind all the emails. I will catch up soon. Love you all. Poly, Kyriaco and m
Guest guest
Dear Poly, I was really looking forward news from you and here they are: what a wonderful, you must be so happy! Please enjoy every second of your life with your daughter and your husband. Sometime it is not easy, but .... when I had or I have troubles with my two-years old Luca I take the time to stay with him, when he was a baby I used to lie in my bed with him, and try to understand what he wanted communicate to me. And.... I'm not crazy.... he always made me understand his needs and his wishes. Welcome to m, Love Ivana Poly Spyrou wrote: Hi everyone! Guest guest
Gwen,, Corinna, Glady's, Kelli, W, S, Alma, Lesia, Ivana, , M, Audrey and anyone else I may have forgotten. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I am catching up with posts and am almost up to date but still have a few more to read. I am sure I may have missed some because I find I am reading about Gwen's surgery but don't recall her email on it. Gwen, I wish you all the best and hope that this is a simple procedure and you will be well soon. I am really happy with this new life. I feel that m has been with us for a long time now. I never knew that adoption would give so much satisfaction. m slept all the way to Cyprus. Mummy and daddy did not sleep on the plane because we were not sure how she would be on the flight. But she was great!! She turns out to be a sleepy baby. She sleeps a lot and this is great because it gives me time to get used to the new life. She only cries when she is hungry and even that is not the type of crying which I hear other babies cry. She is not fussy either. She can play on her own and does not complain when she has pooed on her nappy. She always wakes up with a big smile on her face which just makes you want to eat her!! Her daddy is so proud of his little girl. He wants to show her to everyone. She loves her bathtime too. A baby made to measure is what I call her. I was very anxious the first two days about her feeding and got a little confused with her schedule. We have set a schedule now and all is well. She had her first jab the other day and only cried a little. What else can I tell you about her? Well, she is just the cutest thing you can imagine. I will be posting some pictures soon but still need some time to sit and scan them into my computer. We are about to finalise the last of the paperwork for m's adoption here in Cyprus. Then we shall start to make preparations for her christening. I am off of work until January which is great because by then she will almost be a year old. Funny thing has happened with my periods. This is the second month that my periods are only brownish colour and only last a day but not enough to change a towel. I don't know what is up because I was seeing bright red colour a few months ago. They changed when I started acupunture. I wonder if this is related at all? I have now stopped acupuncture for a few weeks then I am planning on starting again. Anyway, I'll keep you all updated on my little girl. Another day or so and I will be able to respond to emails. Welcome to all the new members and I hope you are finding this group helpful. Please ask questions and I'm sure there will be someone who will have the knowledge to respond. We have become a family here of caring sisters helping each other around the world. Adoption has been the way to help me make a family but it has not stopped me from caring about this group or wanting to get the word out about Ashermans to the world. I know that one day, we will and we will all feel proud of ourselves that we have all been a part of it!!! Love to you all and take care.
