The rest of the $5000 is dickered over. If the medical group accepts this assignment thing, I think they just take whatever part B gives them and that's it. If they don't accept this assignment thing, then you're responsible for the $5000 but Medicare will send you checks of whatever they would have paid out of Part B. At least I THINK that's what it is. OH, well, maybe someone out there will not only understand it but be able to explain it better. It's hard to explain when you don't know what you're explaining..... At least I tried...
