Guest guest
Christy....That is really tragic....Know that the Bridges family is deeply in our prayers for a second tragic loss....Prayers will also be said for all the friends and kids at school....I pray this will sober kids up and cause them to be more careful in their choices....Give a hug for me and tell her that any of her friends who drink or do drugs and drive, she is definitely not to get in a car with them, but rather try to get their keys and call for help to get them home safely....She will probably be saving not only her life, but their life as well.... We have had a rash of teenagers killed around here in auto accidents....Four teenagers died trying to out run the police....No alcohol or drugs, just thought they were being cute, and it cost them the almighty price....I feel so badly for the family's..... Luv ya cuz..... Sad story A friend of 's was killed Sunday night. Bridges was his name and he was 18. The other kid, the one driving, had already graduated, and he's being charged with vehicular homicide since there was alcohol and, supposedly, drugs involved. The first the said was "I would have never guessed he was into that stuff." You never know and I guess the biggest lesson for her is to know who you're riding with when they all go out galivanting on a weekend. So, so sad. 's older sister, Beth, was killed in a car accident 8 years ago when she was around same age. Please remember this family and the kids at the high school in your prayers and thoughts. They're having a memorial service tomorrow. Guest guest
They have one other son who was the middle child. He's in college now. Can you imagine how hard it must be to send him off to school? My heart hurts for this family. We found out that the guys were riding around the back roads in Braswell's truck with the lights off, being stupid, and they pulled out in front of another truck (that guy is 67 years old and had on his seat belt... he's ok) OK so they were being stupid. It's still sad. Now the cops are trying to find out where they got the drugs that night. Sad story A friend of 's was killed Sunday night. Bridges was his name and he was 18. Guest guest
We don't know yet. We're having a huge huge problem with "baby meth" labs so it may turn out to be that. They have them fixed now so they can cook it in their vehicles and it's faster than "old fashioned" kind. Really scary. Sad story A friend of 's was killed Sunday night. Guest guest
A town a few miles from here apparently has a major heroin problem. It's this tiny town, but Denny says every younger person he get applying for a job is in recovery, just out of jail, etc and it's always heroin. Of course to work there they have to take a blood test, so they have to be clean and stay clean, but it just amazes me.....I mean when I was a kid we had pot and LSD (well, I never did that, but it was around). That was pretty much it. Cocaine was way too expensive, and heroin was only used by hard core addicts...mostly in the down town area. I never knew anyone on heroin until I was a nurse in the psych ward. Now it's so common. It's just a shame. Kathy Sad story A friend of 's was killed Sunday night. Bridges was his name and he was 18. Guest guest
Yeah, I remember the kids who did heroin wre the "hard core druggies" and we knew to stay away from them! It's really sad how far the "war on drugs" has NOT taken us. It seems that with more "education" we also have more "temptation." Just a thought. Sad story A friend of 's was killed Sunday night. Guest guest
How sad for this family to lose 2 children at this same age in auto accidents. I can't even imagine the grief that the family is experiencing. I will definitely remember the family in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that 's peers will maybe take a step back and think twice about who they are getting in the car with, drinking and driving, and making sure they are not speeding or taking unnecessary risks of any kind when driving themselves.
