Good for you !!! Glad to see you have so much sense and you don't

believe every word that a neuro doc. may say.

Back from the Neuro- Gonna Wean Soon

Well, our (non-keto) neuro said everything I expected him to say:

lamictal at this dose can't cause lethargy or mood swings; no need

to taper slowly when weaning on this small of a dose; lamictal wean

won't cause withdrawal seizures; constipation doesn't effect seizure

activity..... Sure.

Luckily, I know the real experts (you guys!) so here is our plan:

Increasing our ratio starting tomorrow to 3.6:1 to get more

consistent ketones. Then we'll start SLOWLY lowering lamictal- cut

12.5mg for a week to 10 days, then maybe 12.5 more, then start

lowering more slowly and see what happens.

Wouldn't it be great if drug companies provided some information on the

best way to wean off their drugs! I find the admonition to discuss it

with your doctor or health care practitioner to be of minimal value.
