Guest guest
Nicola, > His ketones are (for the last 4 days) 4 mmol/l in the morning , 8 in the evening. He still says he is hungry in the evening. Logan had SZRs 3 weeks into the diet because his urine ketones were low. We studied what was different that had caused his ketones to be low (we try to maintain a 80-160+ urine ketone level). The SZRs were in the morning at urine ketone 40-60. We figured out that he needed more fuel (food) to make more ketones at that time. Adding 20cc of keto formula (215cal/150cc) at about 10-10:30pm (his version of a bed time keto snack). The change made his ketones 160+ in the morning. We also check his ketones and specific gravity with every diaper change (about 5-6 times daily) with Bayer MultiStix bought from CanadaPharmacy.com for $44/100 sticks. We use the Stanford Meal Planner because we can calculate 4 meals a day with it. I hope ethis helps, Pete
