Guest guest
Penelope, I am an overmethylator trying to prepare myself for chelation with the various suggested supplements.I stopped selenium selenite because this was said to stress the sulfation pathway and just changed to seleniomethionine. So I'm a little bit confused in regards to Marti's inquiry, what would be the best choice for an overmethylator?? I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, J. [ ] Re: SAM-e for our kids?/methionine > from that same article at > http://www.alternativementalhealth.com/articles/walsh.htm > > B. Guest guest
I'm sorry, my child is not an overmethylator and I haven't researched in that direction. I posted that article because I thought it would be helpful as a starting point for others. I'm one who takes one article and then researches the points in other places to see if others have supported the theory, either clinically or scientifically. Maybe Marti can help? I apologize for my ignorance. Please take no direction from me, who is v. confused about methylation. I don't really understand which Se to use either! I use brazil nuts and a little seleniomethioine. marti

Guest guest
> what would be the best choice for an overmethylator?? Oh! You were asking specifically about Selenium? I suggested selenium yeast, if selenomethionine is not a good choice. But I don't know if selenomethionine should not be used by overmethylators. Guest guest
> is that selenite ? something else? It's selenium yeast. It's not selenite. It's another organic form of selenium. Valentina
