Guest guest
A cytoprep tech prepares fluid specimens (like spinal fluid, pleural fluid, etc.) for interpretation. I make the slides, stain them; I also make cell blocks for our pathologists to read. They use these to diagnose (or NOT as the case may be) cancer. One thing about this job - it certainly helps me to keep my perspective on how bad I DON " T have it compared to some. I'm living in Chicago, though I'm not from here. I don't really have a hometown - I was an Army Brat - I grew up all over the place, though both my parents were raised here. Betsy > What is a cytoprep tech??? Guest guest
I've passed through Eau a few times on my way up to Minnesota to go fishing. I bet it's changed a lot since you lived there - it's THE big switch from interstate to state highway when heading north. And speaking of heat - don't come to the midwest to get away from it! Our temps were in the 90's today, with a heat index of 100! I think California was cooler today. Betsy P.S. Yes, it's an interesting job. I love it - I learn something new almost every day. > Thanks for the info!!! Sounds like an interesting job. I grew up in > Wisconsin so am familiar with the midwest. Guest guest
I was just home last summer. Most of my family still lives there and one of my sisters (the nurse) lives right by the Minneapolis-St. airport. So guess whose home is used a lot and who plays chauffer a lot!!! She doesn't mind tho! My 15 year class reunion was last summer. I really don't want to be there in the summer, can't stand the humidity! I love the weather here although I wouldn't mind being just a 'little' nearer the ocean so it was a tad bit cooler......oh well, can't be happy all the time..... : ) Zanna
