Guest guest
Yes, I did. And it went away with South Beach. My doctor asked me if I needed whatever pills it was she was giving me (forget the name at the moment) and I told her nope, I haven't had a problem since I started. I think you will be greatly surprised. It's all the food like Mcs that give it to you, not healthy foods like you will be eating on South Beach. Carol HELLO EVERYONE hi there, i am a new member. i will be starting phase one in the morning. i had the "last supper" so to speak tonight at mc donalds . i was wondering if anyone else out there suffers from acid reflux disease? i know some times a change in diet can make the reflux go away (lose weight and heartburn!!! yippee!!) if anyone has any advise/experence with this, please let me know. i look forward to chatting with you all soon-Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. The South Beach Diet teaches you to rely on the right carbs and the right fats-the good ones - and enables you to live quite happily without the bad carbs and bad fats. Guest guest
Hello Dawn and welcome to the SBD. I am sure that once you learn the way it works and what to eat and not, you will be very happy with your decision! I have had problems with acid reflux. I find that now that I've lost weight and changed my way of eating, it is under control. The only food that I have a hard time with and probably always will are tomato based sauces. It always leaves my stomach a little upset. In any case, there are a lot of knowledgeable people on this group... so don't hesitate to ask questions and to get inspired by a lot of them. Cheers! There have been many folks on the groups who have found a measure of relief for disorders of the digestive system by simply moving to the SBD. Acid reflux is certainly among them. I've found that by simply eating healthy (i.e., SBD style) I seldom if ever suffer any heartburn or related discomfort.
Guest guest
I have acid reflux and my heartburn comes from that. It comes no matter what I eat. Even on days when all I can eat is babyfood, I get heartburn. So, not everyone's heartburn is from eating badly. But, weight loss does help acid reflux, so that can help heartburn. ann > Yes, I did.
