Our DAN doctor wanted to have us do this but my husband couldn't remember why. Do you know what this would be checking for? He is consisitently low every am (anywhere from 96-97 degrees). My 5 y.o. has no official diagnosis and seems typical, after early delays and much biomedical intervention. (His older brother has Asperger's.) Anyway, one thing that helped him is Epsom salt baths, and what we see now if we stop them is that he gets very oppositional and defiant. His behavior also gets quite bad when he gets artificial coloring. He acts like a different child. I think he would have a diagnosis of some sort, quite possibly ODD, if he had artificial coloring on a daily basis. If Feingold helps, there is a good chance the Epsom salts baths will help too.
