What the heck is chocolate gravy?

Pour milk into a skillet while heating, mix a little flour, some sugar, add some cocoa and whisk into warm milk. Cook until thick and add butter and vanilla just before serving.

I was going to say that sounds like making a loose pudding. What the heck do you eat it on? I LOVE country fried cubed steak, biscuits and rice ALL loaded with country pan gravy (flour, salt, pepper, drippings and water) but I'm not sure any of it sounds good wth a chocolate topping LOL

You eat it for breakfast. I crumble up my biscuits and squish my eggs and pour on the chocolate gravy and mix it all up. Yeah it look like yuck but it sure tastes good. lol Most people eat it on biscuits. I've never ran across to many people who know what it is. Maybe its something that was passed down thru Mom's side of the family.

ugghhh...the only thing i can imagine that on is pancakes because i have chocolate crepes. otherwise, chocolate is for dessert, period.

I have had, and love, chocolate crepes, but even on regular pancakes I think it would be a little much.

But then we had a brunch here on Monday and one of the things I made was waffles. I just eat mine with maple syrup and butter, but we put out whipped cream, blueberries and strawberries. I expected that people would have them one way or the other, but I saw some (including my hubby, LOL) put on butter, syrup, fruit and whipped cream.

That is waaaay too much for me.
