Guest guest
What state are you in? You may not want to state that you oppose it for a medical reason, because they'll come back at you and say, fine, then get a medical exemption, which is pretty hard to get! You may want to write a personal exemption or religious exemption depending upon what state you are in. W > Dear List, > > Hi! Guest guest
I would suggest finding the individual laws dictating vaccine exemption in your area. I personally find using the religious exemption in my state easier than trying to argue the medical need to refrain from vaccines. The reason is most are so ignorant on the subject they require a physician to approve the medical reasons. HTH, Debi, whose daughter regressed after the HepB booster > Dear List, > > Hi! Guest guest
You find out what your state's exceptions law is and follow it to the letter. Don't do ANYTHING else. Don't add any confusion. Don't give them any handle to harass you with. Just find out what it takes for a legally binding exemption and do it. > Hi! Guest guest
Point out also that Hep B has been withdrawn in France since a court found it probably instrumental in causing Multiple Sclerosis. I cannot confirm this but you might want to research further that 15,000 parents are suing in French courts on behalf of their Hep-B damaged children. in Germany [ ] Re: Hep B Shot--Need Help Wording Letter Opposing It > You find out what your state's exceptions law is and follow it to the > letter. Guest guest
No, don't do this. Don't do anything other than follow your state's law to the letter regarding refusing the vaccine. Nothing else will sway them, and anything else you say or do will give them a tool to harass you. Stupidly I gave him the Hep. B shot, the first 2 on the advise of his pediatrician because he would not be allowed in school without it. He had not received it earlier because I had homeschooled him until I was too sick to continue from my own mercury poisoning. It was shortly after that he began having a tic and developed hypoglycemia. I did a lot of research and presented it to his pediatrician as I was NOT going to give him the 3rd shot and would have pulled him out of school to homeschool him rather than cause more injury........and I'm too sick to homeschool......but would have done it anyway. When my pediatrician saw my well presented case and how I tied the research into what was happening with my son........he immediately wrote a medical exemption and profusely apologized and said that he was not aware of the information I presented.........mostly being from other countries. I think MD's only read the American Journals and never peek at anything else produced outside this country. You can do research on the web about this vaccine and you will find that giving this vaccine is more dangerous at school age than at infant age. This reason alone is enough to not give this vaccine to your child. Good luck,

They will want to see something in writing in the charter of your denomination that dates way back before you requested an exemption. They have been known to really make it difficult to use a religious exemption and will require proof from you that your denomination has this stated in their tenets of faith. I don't know any denomination that does that......if anyone does.......I would like to know what it is. claire

Guest guest
If you guys will give me a few days, I'm gonna find some Scripture from The Holy Bible which will support our decision, from an interpretive standpoint of protestant Christian. If I don't get it posted, email me, with 3 kids I'm liable to forget to post! Guest guest
> I think MD's only read the American Journals and never peek at anything else > produced outside this country. You are generous. For the most part they don't read new material - most MD's have the textbooks they bought in school on their shelf, nothing new. Some get new materials, almost invariably something like the XXXXX clinics of North America series that is entirely 100% politically correct and sanitized of any real information. Very few read journals. And far fewer non-US journals. Different kinds of doctors have different reading habits, and for whatever reason the MD doctor community is one where reading isn't a habit. I have no idea how this came to be. Andy . . . . . . . .

This is not legal, altho you are right, many districts will ask for this. But legally, all you are required to do is state the law right back to them. For example, if the law states " vaccination is against the tenets of the sincerely held religious beliefs " , then you write " vaccination is against the tenets of our sincerely held religious beliefs " . Recently in Arkansas, the religion exemption was declared unconstitutional because it required being a member of a *recognized* religion. So the district cannot require you to have written tenets. And in fact cannot require you to be a member of any type of religion. You can be the " religion of you " and it will still be valid.
