Time for a major makeover, a new objective in life for a day, a new view, a

different picture

Get a big book to read, take up TV football, write a few letters to friends

both old and new, if you can get out then go to somewhere, if you can't get

out then stay home and think, call a few folks, work on your computer, clean

up files, back up data, play one of those long involved role playing computer

games, get prepared for your 2001 taxes, help a friend get prepared for

taxes, read the New York Times, do something!

But, don't sit at home worrying about yourself, or your health. Take the day

off from that activity. Don't dwell on your past but delight in the positive

aspects of your future. Remember you could be in Buffalo NY and under seven

feet of snow. Things could be worse so make the very best of what you have.

And, YES, have a little water, make a New Year resolution to drink your 8

glasses a day, your entitled to 64 ounces of extra water that's just for you

and your health. Take the plunge!!!

Good Luck and best wishes, Poncho - GA

Hey, Rosie Dearest,

I don't think Ponch was suggesting we had to start with number one on his

list and have them ALL completed by the time the ball drops. <g>

Good suggestions P, thank you... The idea is solid; Do something

different, unusual, new, GOOD for ourselves instead of " bad, " and anything

that can help us not feel sorry for ourselves for one day (or more) is indeed

a GOOD thing. Haha. Poncho .

I've been kickin' in the house in the country (Rich's family home, in the

middle of nowhere), for the last few days, and plan on doing so for a few

more, it feels so good. The bill collectors don't have this phone number and

nobody else calls here - hence NO phone ringing. Online if I want, but no

pressure because of any " live " jobs, so there's a stress reducer... No cable

TV, so one is forced (gently) to rest more, read more, spend more " solitary "

time - no neighbors, no need to " run to the store " for a quick item, or catch

a movie or go to a mall or the Plaza or anything else.

Plenty of naps, everything that gets cooked does so slowly and not in the

microwave, and when I'm here I forget that I'm poor, unemployed, in deep

debt, have multiple tests and Dr's appointments to keep, and just kind of

take a break from everything. Hey, I think I might stay. Haha. Not really,

I know I can't hide forever - but it sure is nice to hide for a little while.

That's my holiday gift to myself.

Interestingly, I think I'm feeling better physically today than I've felt

in months too. Hmmm.

Thanks for the reminder.

Peace,

Terry in... nowhere important.
