Guest guest
SOMETHING ALWAYS ABOUT THOSE BACK ROW FOLKS, THEY DON'T REALLY WANT TO BE SEEN BUT ALWAYS WANT TO BE HEARD. I CAN'T COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS CHAPTER TO MUCH, I'M STILL GETTING TO KNOW EVERYONE. I'VE ONLY BEEN THERE SINCE NOV. 2003. THE SAD THING TO SAY IS THAT IT'S NOT ONLY AT TOPS BUT AT OTHER GROUPS, CLUBS, ETC. --AND THEY DON'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING BUT COMPLAIN OR BE NEGATIVE. -----Original Message-----From: TexasTOPS [mailto:TexasTOPS ] On Behalf Of Hamilton & FeeserSent: Friday, June 03, 2005 12:36 PMTo: TexasTOPS Subject: letter >>>Clara wrote: You know, Janet - - sometimes I think people have more respect for you when you DON'T let them get away with their bitchiness and trouble making! ....I don't know what you wrote in your letter, but maybe we all need a copy of it to use when we have people like that! LOL The funny thing is, the Negative Nelly that was pushing my buttons isn't the worst one, although she is the one that I wrote the letter to because she directly humiliated me on numerous occasions. Her bitter backrow companion is the one who has the biggest attitude problem... and they feed off of each other. She shared my letter with this friend who, the following week, tried to turn a wonderful program about positive attitude and having fun with TOPS into a negative thing by making ugly comments that alluded to the letter. Fortunately, our co-leader, who along with the board rec'd a copy of the letter, was presenting the program and was able to very nicely put her in her place with the utmost professionalism. This past Tuesday, something must have sank in because both of them had a good attitude. I've never confronted the more negative of the two, because she thrives on negativity and drama. Instead, I probably just annoy her with my attempts to 'kill her with kindness'! LOL! I'm always appalled that anyone would choose to air grievances in the middle of a TOPS meeting, but she has no qualms about it. Jackie does a great job of keeping her in check. I prefer to just vent to all of y'all on the list! LOL! We really do have an awesome chapter... 40 or so on the books, with anywhere from probably 25 to 30 weighing in on average. The good in our chapter FAR outweighs the two bad apples!I'm sending you the letter to your private email. I don't have a problem sharing it, but I don't want to post it to the list.... although, many might know of those who may need to know the difference between positive and negative encouragement.hugs, janetEMAIL SUPPORT TEXAS-STYLE!!THE CRAZIEST BUNCH OF "LOSERS" ON THE 'NET'!!Visit us on the web: http://www.texastops.org --No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.Version: 7.0.322 / Virus Database: 267.5.2 - Release Date: 6/3/2005 -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
