- Thank you *so much* for the research on cysts and high FSH.

I was so excited that I went to those websites right away and then

ran out of time to post back until today.

Angie - Thanks for your thoughts this week, I hope that you get some

good news next week. Fingers crossed!

So, my update...I had an ovarian cyst aspirated (drained) on Wed. It

wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and the RE said it was similar

to what they do in retreival. They inserted a needle through the

vaginal wall, and with US guidance inserted it into the cyst and drew

the fluid out.

Sidenote: Interesting recent posts about squeezing fingers and toes

while having " procedures " done - I balled up the corners of the sheet

that was over me while he was sticking the needles in and squeezed my

hands. No one told me to do that, I instinctively wanted to.

So, I met with the RE afterwards, and here's the plan: wait for AF to

arrive (Aleida can you please forward it to NY from TX!) and then do

the cd3 tests again (bw and US). The RE wants to see the FSH results

with no cyst, and because my progesterone number was high, he isn't

altogether convinced that it was a true cd3 for me (exactly what you

said ). We can ttc in the meanwhile, but I have no earthly

idea where my cycle is.

After AF, the RE does want to be more agressive. We will probably

skip Clomid altogether and move on to either inj/IUI or IVF, depending

on the results of the cd3 tests. He did give me a prescription for

Provera in case AF doesn't arrive in 30 days, but I am really really

hoping it happens on its own. I just hate taking more meds, but I

guess if I'm going to do an inj cycle, there will be plenty of meds

coming my way anyway.

The nicest part of the story is that I was planning to go by myself to

the RE's office, so I didn't ask DH to come - I guess I didn't think

it would be that big of a deal that he needed to be there. But the

morning of, DH kind of surprised me by asking what time he should get

there, and we decided that he would meet me at the RE's office.

In retrospect, I was *so* glad that he was there, and I can't believe

I hadn't really considered it. Not only for emotional support, but

also so that he could fully understand what I'm going through to get

us pg. I honestly didn't think it would make a huge difference, but

afterwards I was so glad he was there. Just some wisdom maybe I can

pass along to others.

So, that's the update, thanks for listening, now I'm going back to

waiting.
