Hi Everyone!

As promised, I said that I would find out what type of treatment my

periodonist prescribes for internal mouth sores caused from the

higher doses of methotrexate. Please remember to check with your

oncologist or your rhuemy to obtain the prescription for treatment.

The two ingredients for his magic potion are - Temovate ointment and

Plain Orabase (MTD - made to dispense) prescribed in 15 grams each

to be applied with a q-tip to the sore. The Orabase acts as a

dressing to keep the Temovate in place. He recommends the treatment

be applied 3-4 times per day and should be stored in the

refrigerator. He has had several cancer patients that have been able

to eat following one day of this treatment. If any of your doctors

have questions relative to this treatment, you can e-mail me or call

me direct and I'll give you my doctor's name and phone number. He

said he'd be glad to answer any questions.

Hope this info helps those who need it. Take care, be well and think

positive .... we can beat the blasted beasties!
