Janet,

If Kathleen does not need it I'll take it off your hands, our chapter could sure

use some rejuvenation.

Janet,

If it has taken you this long to get around to the dessert bar, then

you probably won't want to go with me! I go ALL sections! The meat

section is my favorite, but nobody here is interested in that

probably. LOL. In the desserts section, my favorite is the chocolate

cake with caramel sauce. Yum! But don't try it, Janet. It is addicting!

Kath-LEAN...the incredible shrinking woman!

WAY TO GO, my fellow "BOOT SCOOTIN' BABE"!!!! It's the accomplishments like this that keep us motivated and willing to stick with the food plans, the exercising, the sweating & panting & misery - - and recording a loss (big or small) every week!! Just hang in there, and one of these days you'll be walking across that stage in a long white dress, carrying a yellow rose and a flash light - right into that wonderful circle of lights!! There's just nothing like it!!

And you know what's funny? I PROCRASTINATED for years and years before I finally buckled down and reached goal - - but now that I'm KOPS I just want to "push" and "rush" everybody else to hurry up and get there!! I WANT TO SHARE THE JOY & EXCITEMENT!!!!

I can hardly wait every week to hear from everybody who is working so hard to get to goal and/or to CCIW - or both!!! I can hardly wait for to get reinstated KOPS! And I'm so excited about everybody who is having good losses!! IT IS SO WORTH IT!!!

Kathleen, hang in there - - and the next thing you know, you'll be fitting into a bikini when you lounge in that chair!!

(((HUGS))):)

This swimming has just amazed me. I never enjoyed swimming like

I am now. Our is just a small (15X9 ft) above the ground pool. But I

am using it nearly everyday. I get in there and " actively " float to one

end, then flip over and swim back. Over and over and over without a

stop except to catch my breath every now and then. I don't just

gently float, but actively propel myself. I am doing all kinds of

" original " strokes. I never learned how to swim properly, but I can

sure get from here to there and use a lot of muscles doing it! I

concentrate on stretching out my back by getting my arms above or

behind my head as I float. That has helped my back pain. Then on

the way back as I'm swimming I concentrate on making smooth

strokes. I'm hoping some of this arm motion helps firm up my " bat

wings " under my arms. I'm not seeing any progress there, but I am

in other places, so I'm happy about that. And my stamina is

increasing. That's a wonderful thing.

Just hang in

> there, and one of these days you'll be walking across that stage in a

I plan on reaching goal, but I'm still not convinced I want to walk

across that stage!

I know about procrastinating. I had promised myself to be back at

120 pounds by the time I turned 40. Well, it didn't happen. I am

beginning to make a few changes. Or see a few changes in my

eating habits might be a better phrasing. It is hard to make those

changes, as you well know.

Please keep sharing the joy and excitement. It helps! I hope to shop

for size 12 dresses sometime! Oh, the joy just to shop in " regular "

sizes again instead of " plus sizes " !

Ooooooooh, Clara...there you go making me laugh again!

TexasTOPS is the greatest!

Go Boot Scootin' Babes!

Thanks again for the encouragement, Clara.

Thanks, Janet. I'm going to keep trying!

When you take everything into account, you're not doing so bad

yourself! Next week you'll see that road trip has completely

disappeared from your body.

Yup, probably. Gee, just in time for

another roadtrip, this time to Wimberley to take to church

camp. LOL! I didn't do to bad this past weekend when I traveled to

Texas A & M to pick her up from volleyball camp. Couldn't eat

anything while driving because traffic was horrible and I had a death

grip on the steering wheel. Stayed overnight, but only ate salads...

and drank lots of water... which was probably not such a good idea

considering lack of restrooms on return trip!

hugs,

Janet

Oh Janet, I am chuckling as I sit here reading your message. Thank

you for making me laugh. I don't think there's much chance of me

blowing away in the wind!

The newest report on the hurricane is that it will " only " be a

Category 2. Not big by the side of Dennis, but still not something to

look forward to. Depending on which expert you listen to, it won't be

very bad. And we are getting conflicting reports of exactly where it

will come in. To the rest of the world 50 miles may not be much, but

it is to the people down here in both places.

The rain isn't supposed to start until this afternoon. I'm not sure

when the wind will pick up. But the wind blows hard down here all

the time so I don't know if we'll even notice it. We are in the 8th year

of a drought. Seems like a lot longer to me, but that's what they

say. A hurricane will bring in lots of rain and that washes the salt

out of the ground and that is good news for the farmers. Not for the

cotton farmers right now, but next year's soil will be the better for

the salt being washed away. I just hope we'll get enough water in

the right places for our drinking water supply.

Now that I've put everyone to sleep with all this weather talk, I'll go

away to get a few more things done before arrives.

Smiles,

Kath-LEAN
