My daughter really enjoys rice crackers,

which now come in cheese flavor also. Very crunchy, almost chip-like

consistency. Good luck.

Does anyone know of a brand of GF snack cracker that a picky 5 yr old

will find edible??!! I'm going out of my

mind trying to find

something for my DS for snack time at

school. They do little tasks

with their snack - like lining up crackers end to

end to see how many

makes 5 " . I can send fruit etc, but I'm

growing weary of sending

something different in every day.

I'd even take a recipe at this point.

Anything. Essentially, I'm

trying to find a GF cheez-it or goldfish kind of

cracker.

Thanks!

Back to Nature makes a cheese cracker...but they are not small like cheezits or Goldfish....you will not find and such GF creature. My son LOVES the Blue Diamond Nut Thins if your daughter doesn't have nut allergies (tree nut) then you might like these too.

I would love to find Schar crackers in any stores within driving distance from my house, but since I don't think they exist anyone in the San Francisco bay area, I always order many boxes each time I place an order. THEY ARE THE BEST!"Compton, Kayce R." wrote:

I even saw it at Costco the other day. I think I'll buy some now that I know it's GF!

Nutella is a hazelnut/chocolate spread from Germany that kids (and adults!) spread on toast, etc. Not the best thing in the world, but surprisingly not the worst. It is very popular in Europe. Although apparently GF (yea!), it does contain hazelnuts, peanut oil, and milk and maybe soy. It has become pretty mainstream now – used to only buy it in specialty stores, but I think now you can find it in most supermarkets.

Rapunzel makes a chocolate hazelnut spread which is soy-free, organic,

kosher, and much richer than nutella. It reminds me of what nutella

was like before it got quite so popular in the US.

Hazelnuts*, Rapadura whole cane sugar*, non-hydrogenated palm oil*,

whole milk powder*, cocoa powder*, vanilla*.

May contain traces of nuts, peanuts, soy, sesame and wheat. * =

organic ingredients

YMMV. I don't always worry about the may contains. I haven't had this

in quite awhile, though.

I 2nd the schar''s crackers. When I got first diagnosed with celiac, my

parents bought me their " favorite rice crackers " . They still sit in my

closet to this day.... Note, my Dad is like one of the rare people that was

diagnosed with " a strange desease " in the 1940's. He was a " banana baby " ...

so he really won't go for bannana's anymore. (he was just a 20 a day banana

baby)...

Anyways, Besides schar's I love the Glutino " Gluten Free pizza Bread

sticks " I didn't care for them at first. The opened box sat at my computer

for like a month. Then one night, I tried another and haven't stopped

eating them since.
