Guest guest
Thanks for the great card! "Our souls never get older...." how true that is! Thanks for thinking of me. Of all times, I'm sick. I knew it was coming since I've done 3 enbrel treatments now (6 injections) but jeez, couldn't it have waited until AFTER my birthday? It's ok though. Ronnie has to work all weekend driving truckloads of water down to Florida but I'm ok with that too. I'll have time to feel better before we celebrate my birthday. He did give me the most wonderful birthday gift of all: I've been hassling him for 14 years now because he never wears his wedding ring unless we're going out somewhere special and only then if I remind him. Yesterday he put it on and told me that, in honor of my birthday, he would wear it every day now. I was blown away! When he and asked what I wanted for my birthday this year I wouldn't tell them. I said, "You guys have known me all these years so you damn well should know by now what I like and don't like. BUT this year, I want something special, meaningful and from the heart." Ronnie hit it right on so now I have to wait until tomorrow to see what came up with. I am a lucky woman. Even if he can't be here for my birthday. It can wait. Thanks SS, for also reminding me that I have wonderful friends as well. Christy

Guest guest
I don't think it's the rings, per se. I used to attach one of those felty type stick on patches (I can't think right now...I think they are corn pads or something) on the back of my watches, because the backs of those have a high nickel content and I'd get a major rash. But my problems with rings is that the least little bit of moisture, from sweat or washing my hands or anything including hand cream, and I break out. The nail polish thing never worked for me on the watches, but those pads did. I'm not pierce anywhere so I don't have to worry about that, LOL Kathy RE: to my SS I can't wear my rings alll the time because when I were any kind of rings all the time I get a rash under them. I used to coat the inside of my rings with clear nail polish and then I could wear them just for a little while, ditto for watches. When I had my ears peireced I could only wear titanium ear rings.
