Melody....

I have one hint for you - you can try this and see if it helps..

I actually can last as long as I can keep my mind busy on an eliptical machine. I usually only do 30 minutest but sometime 45 or more - depending on what I've got to read... I also wear a headset sometimes and listen to some upbeat music... but that doesn't occupy me like reading something. The gym I go to has "large print" readers digest and those ware great for exercising and reading at the same time...

Another thing I do is whenerver I start feeling the burn, I reverse the motion from forward to backward for a minute or two then back to forward until.......... then reverse.......then back

The eliptical I use has arm moving too... sometimes I let go of that and just do the legs if I feel tired on any particular day.

Well you might have already tried these... but in case you haven't the reading is the BEST!

Koppy Judy

Then I also have a magazine that I read as I glide along. This machine is so easy on your joints - it's my favorite!Melody Moris wrote:

ROFL skinny? pretty? I was drenched in sweat!

I guess the best description I can think of is it's kind of like riding a bike standing up - you can set it like a treadmill and follow along or set it to manually and choose your resistance.

Really takes a lot out of ya! I made it to 9 minutes today - and I WILL make it to 10 minutes by tomorrow - then I can start back on my goal of working towards 30 minutes!

Also did the treadmill - the bike - the stair stepper and my floor exercises.......

I swear if that 3 pounds isn't gone Tuesday - I'm gonna SHOOT the scale LOL!!
