Guest guest Posted January 21, 2001 Report Share Posted January 21, 2001 Elle, I am on cd20 today so I have 8 days until the beta, unless AF shows up before then. I have been feeling pretty hopeful up until today, and I think the lack of any kind of symptom either way is depressing me. I mean I just think about having to continue this process and it exhausts me. I so want this to be the cycle that finally worked. The last cycle she had they but back 4 and she now has a beautiful little girl. My thinking is that if they did not but back that extra on that time she might still be trying. My cousin has triplets. She said it was very hard in the beggining but with everything you start to get a routine. Now the triplets are 3 all girls and she said that is alot easier she is even thinking about ttc again. The choice of selective reduction is really a tough one (even knowing the risk to yourself and the babies). What's making it hard for me is I'm trying to avoid the whole selective reduction thing (which brings you to 2 eggs), but then I don't want to reduce my chances of conceiving (which brings you back to 4). He will put me on Progesterone next week, provided that my HCG is going up normally and after making sure the pg is in the uterus with an u/s on Wednesday or Thursday. My Progesterone level with my ep was low. He said he will measure my Progesterone externally instead of internally. when is your next test? Guest guest Posted February 8, 2001 Report Share Posted February 8, 2001 Hey Elle, Progesterone is often low with an ep, because it's a failing pregnancy from the start. Your current pg sounds very healthy, which is why I was wondering why you'll be getting progesterone--sounds like you don't need it. But the dr knows best, of course. At my latest U/S, they saw that I still have a mass in my tube. It could be tissue remains from the ep or it could be a clot. My HCG is stuck at 7.5, probably because of this " mass. " Soooo, my next step is to get an HSG next cycle. I'm on cd 8, so I've get a while to go yet. And no blood tests until I get my next af. I guess you can say I'm taking a break, but I am worried about the " mass " and what the HSG will show. Again, congrats on your news. I go for my u/s on Monday to see where and how many follies there are. I have had alot more twinges this month so I will be guessing there's more. All I hope for is at least one big ole fat one on the left side. I will ask him again about the hcg on Monday because I am thinking he should have a good indication of when I should be ready to O. I'll ask Monday, although from what I'm hearing the shot might be easier because it doesn't have to be done as often. Every Dr. is different and the shot just might be my Dr. preference. She comes into the office for microderm and has her leg veins removed; plays tennis, golfs, etc. She's just so much fun to hang out with. We have a really great time together! I am sorrry that you feel sooo alone now, we are all here for you and you can call me anytime day or night....
