I definitely not a zinc expert, but my son has been very, very low in zinc

also. We tried many different types of oral zinc. I couldn't tell you if they

would have raised his zinc levels or not, because each and every type made him

horrendously hyperactive. We then went to transdermal zinc, and I was slowly

able to increase the amount of zinc I put on without problems. His zinc level is

now slightly better than it has been.

Hi Everyone,

For the past six months I have supplemented my son's BCN

vitamins/minerals with 3 of VRP's zinc monomethione (each one at

25mg each)!! Last year at this time, his plasma zinc was over 120,

and now after a year of alternating MTP and chelation, it has

dropped to 75!!! I am lost as to what to do. He is so zinc

depleted, and is definately showing all the signs (Not FUN). My DAN

suggested that we try zinc picolinate instead. Does anyone use this

form and if so, do you have a good brand that you could recommend?

Thanks so much,

Sheryl

I use this type of zinc and it appears to work very well for my kids.

I use Henry's brand from Henry's Marketplace, a subsidiary of Wild

Oats, because it contains no fillers.
