Guest guest
My neck has popped and cracked for years. I was just diagnosed in Jan 2002 and have not had surgery. When my neck feels tight or tense, I just turn or twist my neck and it pops. It doesn't hurt at all. In fact it give me great relief. I've never asked a doctor about it. I'll be sure to mention it at my NSG appt on April 9. Prayers and best wishes, __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I am envious. I cannot crack, pop, twist, turn, or adjust my neck at all. Not even with massage. Even when I went to chiropractors (I don't go anymore) they could not move my neck much either. When they did get it to adjust, it hurt like the dickens, and I would get a HUGE headache from it. I get a loud popping/cracking noise in my neck on occasion. It sounds like something has totally disconnected, but it does not hurt. The noise scares me, it is so loud. Guest guest
Hi , My neck still does the snap, crackle, pop after surgery just as it did before. For years I used to roll my head around and make it pop really good and loud several times a day. It would feel soooo good, like it relieved some of the pressure. I didn't know I had Chiari at the time though. After my decompression last year, as my Nsg was removing my stitches, I offhandedly said I sure would like to pop my neck about now and how good it would feel. He just about came unglued! He told me I should have NEVER been making it pop and I sure better NEVER do it again! I was so shocked by his passionate outburst since he was always so low key, very mild mannered and soft spoken. But no matter how bad I want to I NEVER crack my neck anymore. Janet in Houston Hanson wrote: > My neck has popped and cracked for years. I was just > diagnosed in Jan 2002 and have not had surgery. Guest guest
My neck pops and cracks all the time.. in fact it did it twice while reading this last message. My nsg said not to do it, but that's like saying " don't move.... ever! " It just happens. Sometimes my neck will feel tense and I will do it on purpose, but it feels like if I don't I'll go nuts.... ooops, already there!
