Guest guest
So yesterday, Christmas morning, I had my 3rd attack since the ERCP. The attacks are more frequent, less intense, the GI doc is not certain they are related to pancreatitis, think they may be sphincter spasms of some sort. All I know is it is agonizing. I get these sharp stabbing pains, and they HURT! I about pass out from the pain - I have collapsed once. This has only been since he did the ERCP December 5th, and cut the biliary (pyloric I think) sphincter muscle. I should be hearing about my insurance this week, getting insured thru the state hopefully. Keep your fingers crossed. Going out to dinner tonight, called the chef ahead and asked for aplain baked potato with NOTHING on it. he will give me other stuff, but I only plan on eating the potato lol. I am starting chiropractic this week, and feel good about that. Doing massage too. Am about willing to try anything rather than another sphincterotomy. Guest guest
Rose: I wish that I could make some great, comforting statement to assuage your concerns, but... And I wonder who, if any of us, has derived benefit from the procedure. But just about everyone has had more than just the ERCP. There have been sphincterotomies and stents discussed So ... who can offer some positive input? -E

Guest guest
-Marti, I to had an ERCP on Dec 5th, with stent placement. My stent has come out,and I have been miserable. Tons of pain, feeling horrible. The sharp pains are bad. Then the pain becomes dull, then progressive. My boost sent me running for a pain pill. I had the pancreatic duct cut for the second time. I guess I am not part of the 70-80% success rate they talk about. I hope everything goes well with your insurance, I am lucky to have two coverages. I am still waiting for a disability check from work. I had to ask my daughter for money yesterday. I have a tiny pay check Friday, but it probaly won't even buy groceries. I eat out yesterday, and they were great when I asked them to not put butter on my potato.I hope you have a good dinner.
