Guest guest
Christie, For your son's sake you need to take good care of yourself! Its hard to be a good mom when you are hurting and I know what thats like with my husband. He's never been abusive (at least not physical) but he has made me feel like crap a million times with his putdowns and verbal treatment. I have felt embarrassed and at the end of my ropes. This surgery has been the best thing for me and ultimately for my family too. I am getting back my self-esteem and getting healthier too. I think you're on the right track so have faith in yourself. Keep up posted Christie and hang in there. Bridget Northam
Guest guest
Hang in there. I have a friend who went through about as tough a time as you are having. Her major problems were with dehydration. She is much better now and is enjoying the fact that she had the surgery. Keep in mind, there is a light at the end of that tunnel and you will be enjoying it one day soon. It is tough now, but one day you will be through this and know this is the best thing you could do for yourself so that you can enjoy the rest of your life. Guest guest
<<hi group my name is I am going today for my first consultation for gastric bypass I am a little bit nervous I hope I get approved. does anyone have any bad stories about the surgery I was just curious how bad the risks are thanks.>> Hi , Welcome to the list. I highly recommend not making the decision to have surgery until you have researched everything about it. I researched it for almost 2 years before I decided to go ahead with it. It is not something to enter into lightly. My girlfriend ( we met in our mandatory surgery class as pre-ops) just kind of stumbled across this surgery and had deep regret and went into a depression for about 3 months after having done it because she didn't know all the details and to this day she still doesn't do what she needs to to take care of herself (vitamins, protein supplements, water, exercise, healthy food choices). She is 6 months out now and is starting to look ill and greyish in color. I do not regret my decision at all and my experience has been much easier because I went into it well informed and knowing what to expect. Anyways, welcome.
