And the list just covers everyday stuff, without the fun and exotic

" forget your own name " and " feel water on your arm/leg when it isn't

there " ...

Or, as I'm still trying to puzzle out, putting the empty bean can in the

utensil drawer. :-)

Up past my bedtime, gonna go read some Harry Potter....

I've been a quiet list member, but just HAD to reply to this one. This is SO true. The "you look so good" comment doesn't go too far when you are experiencing all of these things. :-)

You are so right.. and there's a cliche that goes with having MS...

" People don't get MS... until they get MS " ...

Also gotta love the remarks... " you'd get it back or do better if you

exercise more " ... and I just wanna reach out and smack them upside their

head once or twice.... (I would smack them too.. if I wouldn't fall over

doing so).. and then ask.. just how am I supposed to get into that

aerobics class to exercise more when I can't stand up without

weaving???.. Heaven forbid if I try to lift one foot off the floor.. or

how do I get on that exercise bicycle and pedal for an hour or so.. when

I constantly feel like I'm going to fall off the damn thing??? (can't

mow the grass, even with the riding mower, cause I feel like I'm falling

off.. well that would keep my heart rate up for an extended period of

time anyway LOL)..

I read somewhere.. that there is one of those virtual game type deal

floating around at different conferences and places that do like boat

show, RV show type deals.. only where they do medical stuff.. but this

virtual game type deal.. actually gives a person MS without giving them

MS.. they get to find out what it's actually like to walk around (or

roll around as the case may be) in our shoes for a few minutes... love

to have one of those come to MY area for just a little while...

Oh.. I'm cranky today for some reason... double whammy I guess... I got

the MS-PMS blues... look out world!!!! \

Oh, and a few more, sweetie, that you've forgotten. How about the one that you can't feel the temperature of your bath water, so you use your elbow instead of your hand, otherwise you're cooked. And my personal favorite that I'm having a lot lately. Being dizzy, drunk, off-balance etc. I can't get out of a car, get out of a chair, climb a few stairs, take a lift or bend down, without having to stand still for a while, because I'm so dizzy it's actually crazy. Oh, sorry, that part was with the Jack s, but I never knew I will feel dizzy all the time. I'm fine with the no coordination, walking into doors, but this one is getting annoying. To: MSersLife Sent: Friday, September 4, 2009 10:47:06 AMSubject: RE: Re: Looking for a list And the list just covers everyday stuff, without the fun and exotic "forget your own name" and "feel water on your arm/leg when it

Hi DonnaIt's alright, you're allowed to get the blues every now and then. How else will you or any of us survive? It's just sad that they didn't put the BIG symptom in there as well. Depression. Oh yes, I know you should pull yourself together, count your blessings, get a man and get over it. Yes sure. I'm sure that nobody in this whole world ever want to feel that there is no tomorrow. No use in living. Hey, for what? You're so useless right. Besides no one will miss you, you're just a burden. I sometimes wish that all those people can just one day feel what it's like. The worst thing I've ever heard about my depression, was that it's the devil's illness. I don't have to tell you what that did to me. So sweetie, you have the right to get mad, cry a little, use a few 4 letter words that's not

allowed and you can even kick something, just don't fall down doing it. Just as long as you never give up, no one has the right to take your confidence, your laughter, your will to survive even though life doesn't seem so great most of the time. So please, don't hold back, I think all of us here has had our share of pain and humiliation. Hey, all the stuff that I wrote you about depression, all the advice, I've heard it all. Even the man stuff. Can you believe it. Oh boy, this is a sad email. Nothing funny about it, just pure life as we all experience it every day. The worst is that everyone always say you should lose weight. Oh hell, it's the only fun thing that's left to do. Emotional eater, oh yes! But allow me something that I like and actually are good with.Take care my dear friends. And hang in there. Hey, you can't leave me now. You know what happens when I get bored. I get into trouble. Oh, I'm feeling really depressed. Now where's that

chocolate.Love and hugs to all of youTo: MSersLife Sent: Friday, September 4, 2009 3:39:10 PMSubject: Re: Re: Looking for a list ...

I can't use my elbow to test the temperature of the water.. the only

place I have that kind of skin sensation is the outside of my kneecap..

but after May.. I'm pretty sure the only place is now the outside of the

right kneecap.. that ought to be one pretty picture for anyone standing

behind me with a camera as I place a kneecap in the water to test the

temperature.. LOL

Course sez.. I don't do that.. I just come out looking like a

freshly cooked lobster.. and then I call for my wheelchair.. LOL

Oh LOL

I don't get depressed with the MS-PMS blues... (that was supposed to

sound like a blues song title.. lol)... PMS made me do things like slam

cupboard doors.. throw things.. screech... (the boys learned to steer

clear of me during PMS.. just hides somewhere now.. LOL)... but

once the roller coaster ride began.. I got a double whammy of the mood

swings... thus the MS-PMS blues... great title for a song.. doncha

think?... Course I can't think of a tune or words to go with it.. cause

has now caused... " I can bring home the bacon.... Fry it up in a

pan... and never never never... " .. tune stuck in my head.. cause he's

been running around singing it for the past three or four days.. LOL...

Sort of like the other one.. it's Herb Alpert's Spanish Flea.. tune..

but he uses.. do do da do.. and such.. but the really funny part was

when his 3 year old grand-nephew started singing along.. except he would

sing.. be dumb be dumb.. do do da do.. be dumb be dumb.. LOL.. it was

hilarious.. though you might have had to be there at the time... LOL
