Guest guest
Hey, Sue! I can totally relate. I find the same thing when tracking on sparkpeople! For some reason when I start tracking, I start to lose my ability to listen to my hunger. I just start focusing on the numbers and not eating when I'm hungry. I usually eventually rebel and binge. I can also feel I'm up about 5 pounds from last month...I got rid of my scale, but I can just tell. I think my body wants to get back down to its natural weight, I haven't been very hungry lately. I think my body is asking me to eat less, let it get back to where it wants to be.Subject: observationsTo: IntuitiveEating_Support Date: Wednesday, September 29, 2010, 12:52 PM I usually weigh myself at the end of each month and I checked it today and was up 4# since last month. The interesting thing (to me) is that for at least 2 weeks this month I was entering all of my food on Sparkpeople in order to track my fiber intake. I haven't done it for at least a week now, and I have been aware that I have been totally out of control over the past week with my eating...I am guessing that it is a direct result of my tracking my food intake the couple of weeks before. I have also noticed that I have been eating everything that is placed in front of me (cleaning my plate), and so I am going to work on getting back to listening carefully to my body. I find it amazing how I can react to "dieting"....not good! Another interesting thing I noticed today is that I am not all wigged out about gaining 4#! It will take care of itself.Beginning today I am getting back on track, listening to my body. I am so glad that this group is here!
