Horsley Kathy (KAFoley) needs our support-NMR Hi there...I just wanted to ask those of you who believe in the power of prayer to pray for Kathy and her family...her husband was admitted in critical condition to ICU yesterday for a probable anhuerism. They did a spinal tap and found blood in the fluid...which they feel he has already had it or he is going to have one...they will be doing more tests today. Of course she has the added stress of having a special needs child to leave behind...her son has classical autism/suspected mito...she has a fourteen year old she is leaving him with b/c her family is all hours away...they may even airlift her husband today which will make it worse. There are some other issues that are weighing heavily on her as well...please say a prayer for them...she is scared...she knows he could die and then what would she do, kinda thing....so think of them today...thanksdeb Please contact mito-owner with any problems or questions. Guest guest
Deb: You are the secretary to know what is happening with everyone. I will keep Kathy and her family in our prayers. Just had a long talk with the higher being today as I was walking the dog and thought of all our families on this list and beyond. So will include Kathy and her needs as her husband is in the hospital and it is a scarey time for her and her family. Please keep us updated if you can. Guest guest
hey thx all.. looks like my husband is gonna virtually walk out of ICU.. but under the we are stumped... all tests came our clear now.. and they are going to discharge him tomorrow.. oh yea.. like how can I go get him expecting a foot of snow... we decided to get him out of icu.. and into a room for tonight as I am like unknown reasons.. bring him home with a headache and dizzy,.. they could not find him a room so he is still in icu... geezzzzzz.... also hopefully good news for us is that.. we have zero insurance for other than our son... and some lady came by today.. telling me that she will submit.. for medical assistance somehow for us. for him to pay retroactively this bill.. or if that does not work..send me to some charity organization...interested to learn more how this works... or might work.. thrilled this hospital.. pulled out no stops for us.. and is trying to f ind us a way to pay for this situation. Now I know i like him staying there tonight.. but what about this storm... another nor'easter.. and this came upon him shoveling on xmas day..so guess it is up to little 5 foot 1 me.. to do this.. Guest guest
Kathy, Glad to hear you were in good odds with your husbands condition. The bill will be no fun, but he hospitals have creative ways of reducing it. And all of us mito moms are so good at being creative and researching our options. Well, hope he is out of ICU and back home with you and the boys soon. Here's to a better 2003. Riley -----Original Message-----From: KAFoley2@... And to you Deb for asking.. for me..Here's the deal..WHew!!!! this cerebral arteiogram test my hub had today showed no anuerism .. so that is good news.. as 90% end up with that and in need of neuro-surgery..ok.. so he is in the 10%.. which I am so used to the odds against us.. but in this case it is good news so th e neurosurgeon explianed... but still there was blood in spinal fluid.. now for more ruling out..MRI.. thinking maybe he broke a blood vessel.. but cat scan and that test came out ok..and maybe it has healed itself. But still in ICU>..has the best of care... we have no insurance so wish I won that $315 million powerball over the holidays.. but no.. some millionaire wins it...LOLMaking my 14 year old take care of my son has been a who can whine the best.. especially on new years eve.. I won.. I think..Someday soon I will get this bill... but know I did the right th ing.. and to think he had the flu all week..So in the I don't know zone ... we can all relate to that zone.KathyPlease contact mito-owner with any problems or questions.
