Guest guest Posted January 3, 2003 Report Share Posted January 3, 2003 hope things are getting better. I also have been having a rough time with my son. He has been sick since the beginning of Thanksgiving week. Today was our best day yet. He has not vomited once, had all his meds and is unconstipated. He was not hospitalized but only by the grace of God. I hope your little darling Miranda is getting better and will be able to avoid another surgery. Riley feeling so low..... I am feeling very down hearted tonight and I guess I just need to 'talk' to someone. Miranda is having a rocky road right now, as we just brought her home from the hospital yesterday for a few nights stay. She was uncontrollably vomiting and needed IV for a few days to get through it. The thing that makes it even more depressing, she just had her Nissen ( reflux surgery that should make vomiting impossible) redone on July 22. I am worried now this has failed and that will just lead to all the problems we were having before the nissen was redone (aspirating, pneumonia's, recurrent resp infections) This was such a hard surgery for her and she had many complications. I have to contact her surgeon tomorrow to see where he feels we should go from here with it. She does have the hearing test scheduled for the 6th. I see now where the hearing problem is now that I am looking for it. My nephew was whispering (in a 3 year old whisper) to her tonight. We all heard what he said from across the room. Miranda said what to him 4 times and he finally just shouted it at her. And now to add to all the sadness, I was called today to tell me my grandmother has died. I am feeling so down and I was so hoping for a fresh start in the new year.....Thanks for listening.
