Guest guest
Shirls--I hope things settle down for you for a long period of time. We miss you here. Steroids can mess with your emotions and it doesn't seem to depend on the brand, just different times different reactions. When I worked psych we had a number of patients with steroid psychosis also. I remember in particular a girl in her 20's or 30's who had lupus and got the pschosis really bad...thought the people on TV were talking about her and everything. Hope the crying fits pass soon. ((((hugs)))) Kathy Among the living again Howdy all! It's been a bad month again. I had trouble this past week and then 2 weeks before that. I'm on a solu-medrol pack to hopefully tame the beast this time. My neuro wants another MRI. I haven't had one in over a year. I'm trying to get Medicare part B so we don't have to cover as much of a cost. I have to go back on our last 5 health insurances and get proof from them so I don't have to pay the % increase each year I haven't had part B. It's so nice we've had 5 insurances since '99!...HA! Only 3 different places of employment but 5 insurance companies. I think this brand of steroid is messing with me. I am having crying fits. Normally I'm "up" on steroids but not this time. It may be because it's such a low dose with each dose I take. I'm done trying to figure stuff out. I'm exhausted! Guest guest
Shirley, Steroids make me swing between being "up' & "down". Ready to take on the world one minute, then crying for no reason the next minute. It'll get better. I've been at my job 3 years, & I'm on the second insurance company & third plan; I expect it to change every year. Take care of yourself! Guest guest
You're tapering down on the steroid pack, right? It does it to me when I start coming down. Hang in there and call me if yoiu want to cry together. I'm having one of those weeks. I've been off the Humira for 3 weeks, 4 weeks on Wed, I have 6 doses of enbrel in my fridge waiting for me to start but the insurance company is refusing to send more than 6 weeks worth every 3 months. That won't work and my doc doesn't want me to start and then stop for 6 weeks so we have to straighten this out before I can start it. GRRRRRRRRRR I was onn it before with no problem form the insurance co and the Humira cost 3 times more than the enbrel and they paid it with no trouble so it's just a "glitch" somewhere with someone being a jerk. They don't realize they're messing with someone's life here, do they? It's all numbers to them. sigh. Anyway, I'm ready to cry too. I've been in bed most of the weekend so far and it doesn't look like the week is holding much more promise. So, I'm there with you Shirls. I can't do anything for you but you know you aren't alone. Hugs Christy Among the living again Howdy all! It's been a bad month again. I had trouble this past week and then 2 weeks before that. I'm on a solu-medrol pack to hopefully tame the beast this time. Guest guest
Christy & Shirley, Maybe it's the weather or the moon or something? I'm so sleepy I can't stay awake & so tense I can't sleep. I want to cry, but I don't have enough energy. There are things I want to do, but I don't want to do them enough to get off my butt & do something. Besides that, I have about two dozen mosquito bites that itch! I was outside for all of 5 mins (at most) last night - made myself water plants that were dying of thirst. Let's just all hide somewhere until we feel more human. Hugs,
