Guest guest
To our newest member. Let me say welcome. I concur with . I have been a member 3(?) weeks and this is a wonderful laid back group. If you need to be serious and talk about problems this group will come to your side... If you have a problem with dinner and need a recipe you will find someone with the right answer here. This is a loving caring group and if you allow them they will love you and carry you through the bad times. You are going to love it here. Sit back and enjoy the ride. When you feel like jumping into a discussion " dive in the water is fine " (Bette Midler " The Rose " ) I am so sorry you have found us for whatever reason. You may not hear much from me but know that I am reading every post. I am in the middle of the worst flare up right now. I am having to break my lease and move in with a friend. I have a 17 year old daughter who has lived with me the last 6 years. She has gone to live with her Mom. My apartment has to be vacated by next Friday(a week and 3 days) before starting my next round of steroid infusions. But it's this group who get me through each day. B. Guest guest
Akiba, Three weeks ago I was started on solumedrol for round 6 in 12 months. I am so sick of steroids but it clears my vision up. I am very sensative to the solumedrol and it's administered over 4 hours. The home health nurse who began the infusion did not regulate the flow. I fell asleep after she left and woke to a ringing phone to find my IV bag was empty and it had been less than an hour. My Kidneys shut down... Breathing became labored... Weird heart beat... I went into shock. Once I could carry on a conversation the ER physician informed me that I have cardiac enzymes in my blood stream and that was as close to having a heart attack I would ever come and not have one. It has been three weeks now and I am having major problems with my MS. I can hardly walk. I shake like someone with parkinsons. My lower extremities are numb but the pain is somethimes unbearable. I have never had numbness and tingling in my hands until now. My left eye has been blurred for over a year now. It's like looking through a pane of glass covered in vasiline. What began this ordeal was my right eye began hurting and darkening. I just can't loose the right one too. While all of this has been happening I have had from South Africa to keep in entertained. I hope she don't read this because there are things here I have not shared with her. And if you know you DON " T WANT TO MAKE HER MAD. She is a sweety and there are some days that would have been lonely without her silliness... I tend to be a silent sufferer. I know thats not good and you have heard me share with a couple of people not to be but if you read this email... Once I get started I don't know where to stop. Thank you all. My daughter is 17... She is a senior in High School... Her Mom has no idea how to be a mother. I have been Mom and Dad all of her life. I hope she will be fine. She can get away if it's to much. I won't be very far away and she does drive. What you described sounds like Guntersville State Park which is 30 minutes away or it could have been in ville which is 30 minutes to the West. I had a job back in the 90's and we lived in out motorhome fulltime. We would stay at the Space Camp and it was really nice. Oh how I would love to full-time it again. Who could pay for gas or diesel? Thanks Again HSV Ala > > > > > > Welcome to a great group. You won't find a better, more caring and loving > group than this one. A Southernized version of "victuals", if you're looking stuff up in a dictionary. :-) Us southern folks are told we talk funny, but studies have found that we're still speaking Shakespearean English, well-seasoned with Gaelic syntax from all the Scots and Irish folks who settled in the mountains...
